Czech Republic Apostille for Indian Degrees and Personal Papers
A Czech Republic apostille from MEA makes an Indian document acceptable to Czech offices without any embassy stamp. Both India and the Czech Republic apply the Hague Apostille Convention. INFINITYGRO prepares degrees, birth certificates and company papers from anywhere in India for this route.

Documents from India for Czech Republic
Do Indian documents for the Czech Republic need embassy legalization? No. Both countries are parties to the Apostille Convention, so the MEA apostille is the final step in India. Your document is first verified by the university, state department or a Chamber of Commerce. MEA then adds the Czech Republic apostille. Most Czech offices also need an official Czech translation, often by a court-appointed translator.
Degrees, nostrification and the apostille
Indian graduates moving to the Czech Republic often meet a word they have not seen before: nostrification. It is the Czech process for recognising a foreign degree or school certificate. Universities and regional authorities run it, and they generally want the original diploma with an apostille, plus a Czech translation.
Start with our degree certificate apostille service, then send the apostilled set for translation.

Czech Republic apostille: the Indian side
- The university or state education department verifies a degree or transcript.
- The state Home or GAD department verifies birth, marriage and police certificates. Some states allow notary and SDM instead.
- A Chamber of Commerce authenticates business papers.
- MEA adds the apostille. It checks only the verifying signature.

The Czech Republic apostille is a single sheet attached to your document, with a unique number that the receiving office can check. It is valid indefinitely, but Czech offices sometimes ask for recently issued certificates, especially police records. A police certificate older than a few months may be rejected even with a valid apostille, so time that one last.
Czech translation rules
Czech authorities normally accept documents in Czech. An official translation by a court-registered translator is widely expected, and many translators bind the translation to the original with a seal. Because of that, decide early whether the translation will be done in the Czech Republic or arranged from India. INFINITYGRO can help with translation where the office allows it.
Always apostille first. A translation cannot be stitched to a document that later goes to MEA.
Family and residence papers
Spouses and children joining a worker or student usually need birth and marriage certificates. Czech offices look closely at names. The spelling on the passport, birth certificate and marriage certificate should match. Our birth certificate apostille page covers corrections and reissues.
For a marriage abroad or a child born outside India, keep the full original certificate. Short extracts may not include parents' names, and Czech registry offices often need them. If the certificate is in Hindi or another regional language, a translation into Czech is still needed after the apostille. A second English translation in between rarely helps.
Exporters and Czech partners
Czech importers of engineering goods, textiles and chemicals sometimes ask for a company registration, a power of attorney or a certificate of origin with an apostille. The chamber stamps these first, then MEA adds the apostille.
Company documents such as a certificate of incorporation, memorandum of association or board resolution may be needed when an Indian firm opens a Czech subsidiary or appoints a distributor. Czech commercial registers expect a certified translation. Ask the Czech lawyer or notary which version they want apostilled. Our commercial documents page explains the chamber step.

- Expecting the Czech Embassy in New Delhi to stamp papers it no longer needs to.
- Different name spellings on passport and certificate, which Czech registries query.
