How is an MP university degree prepared for the apostille? A degree certificate apostille in Madhya Pradesh usually goes through a notary and SDM in Delhi before the MEA stamp. If a university or regulator abroad asks for state verification, the Higher Education department in Bhopal verifies it instead. Universities on e-Sanad can be handled online with your passport number. MEA charges Rs 50 per document.

Medical and nursing degrees in the state are linked to the Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University in Jabalpur. Private universities in Indore and Bhopal also issue many degrees, and they go through the same steps as state universities.

Picking a route for degree certificate apostille in Madhya Pradesh
There are three paths, and all of them end at the MEA.
- Delhi route. Notary, SDM verification in Delhi, then the MEA apostille. This is what we use for most MP degrees.
- Bhopal state route. The Higher Education department in Bhopal verifies the degree. Use this only if the receiving body asks for state verification.
- e-Sanad. Online verification and apostille for universities on the MEA's system. Not all MP universities are connected, so we check first.

Home to Barkatullah University, RGPV, MANIT and the state Higher Education department. If a state check is needed, it happens here. Many Bhopal engineers send RGPV degrees for Canada and the USA. Researchers from IISER Bhopal often need the degree and a transcript together for doctoral posts abroad.
Indore
DAVV graduates and IIM Indore or IIT Indore alumni form a large share of our MP files. Management graduates often need the degree and transcript for jobs in the Gulf and Europe.
Gwalior
Jiwaji University and ABV-IIITM degrees arrive from here, often for postgraduate study. Gwalior is close enough to Delhi that some clients bring papers to our office in person, though we do not collect from homes.
Mark sheets, transcripts and the provisional certificate
MP universities usually issue yearly or semester mark sheets. Each mark sheet is a separate apostille, and so is the transcript.
Many graduates receive a provisional certificate long before the convocation degree. It is a temporary document. Some universities abroad take it at admission, but visa and licensing offices usually ask for the final degree. If yours is still pending, ask the university about its issue date before you plan.
Hindi-language mark sheets often need a certified translation. We arrange that through our translation service.
How we take an MP degree through
- Share photos of the degree and mark sheets on WhatsApp.
- We confirm route, count and the total cost.
- You courier the originals to our New Ashok Nagar office.
- We complete the verification step and file with the MEA through an authorised outsourced centre.
- The originals return to you by Blue Dart or a similar tracked courier.
Since 2012, the MEA has not accepted papers from individuals directly. Filing through an authorised centre is part of what we do for you.
Most MP clients never need to visit any office. You send the papers, we keep you updated on WhatsApp, and the stamped originals reach the address you give us. If you are travelling soon, tell us the date at the start so we can tell you honestly whether it is realistic.
Watch-outs before posting
- Send originals only. Photocopies, even attested, cannot be apostilled.
- Lamination blocks the stamp, which goes on the reverse.
- If the degree name differs from the passport, an affidavit is needed.
- A damaged degree may need a duplicate from the university first.
Also check that the degree carries the Registrar or Controller signature and the university seal. A certificate missing these may not be accepted at the verification step. If in doubt, send us a photo before posting it.
Where your apostilled MP degree can go
The UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Oman and most of Europe accept the apostille. It is not used for China or Germany.
For the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait or Egypt, an MP degree needs MEA attestation and then embassy legalization. Our embassy attestation service handles that route.
Germany verifies Indian degrees through its own embassy process, because it objected to India joining the Apostille Convention. MP students applying to German universities should check that process with the university. For other European countries, the apostille is normally what admission offices expect, sometimes with a translation into the local language.

No. Both are university degrees. The issuer changes, but the Delhi, state or e-Sanad routes are the same.
