Is an RGPV polytechnic diploma accepted for apostille? Yes. An RGPV diploma is an original public document. For a diploma certificate apostille in Madhya Pradesh we usually arrange a notary and the SDM in Delhi, then the MEA stamp. If the receiving body asks for state verification, the paper goes to the department in Bhopal first. ITI and nursing diplomas follow the same order.
RGPV as the diploma issuer
Unlike many states, Madhya Pradesh does not run polytechnic exams through a separate technical board. RGPV, the state technical university in Bhopal, conducts diploma exams and publishes semester-wise results on its diploma portal. Engineering, pharmacy and other technical diploma marks sheets come from it.
This matters because the signature on your diploma is an RGPV officer's. The verification step, whether in Delhi or Bhopal, depends on that original. Older diplomas from before RGPV took over polytechnic exams can still be processed as originals.
Results and marks sheets are published on the RGPV diploma portal by semester. Keep your enrolment number handy. A foreign assessor may ask for it to confirm your result directly with the university.

Nursing diplomas and ITI trades in MP
GNM and ANM nurses are registered with the Madhya Pradesh Nurses Registration Council. A foreign regulator usually wants the nursing diploma and the council registration, sometimes with hospital experience letters. We plan those as separate items.

Steps for diploma certificate apostille in Madhya Pradesh

- Verify. A notary attests the diploma, and the SDM in Delhi confirms the notary. If the receiving body names a state check, the Bhopal department verifies it instead.
- Apostille. The MEA stamps it through an authorised centre. If the issuer is connected to e-Sanad, this can happen online with your passport number.

Which verification step is right? If the employer or college abroad simply asks for an apostilled diploma, the Delhi route is normally fine. If it says the state government must verify the diploma, we use the Bhopal department. Ask the recruiter to put the requirement in writing if it is unclear.

Semester marks sheets count separately
RGPV issues marks sheets per semester. Each one is its own document for the apostille, with its own fee. A skills assessor may want all six; an employer may want only the diploma.
Plan the full set once. A pharmacy diploma holder registering abroad may need every marks sheet plus council papers. A civil diploma holder going to a Gulf site may need only the final certificate. Ask the receiving body, then tell us the count.

Valid countries and exceptions
Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, the UK, the USA, Canada and Australia accept the apostille. China and Germany do not. Diplomas headed to the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait or Egypt go through MEA attestation and then the embassy of that country. Our UAE charges page sets out what that involves.
Some Gulf employers send their own verification agency to check your diploma with RGPV. That is separate from the apostille or attestation. Answer their requests promptly, because a delay on their side can hold up your visa even after our work is done.
For Europe, the apostille alone is usually enough, though Germany is an exception that verifies Indian papers through its embassy. If you are going to Germany, tell us early and we will explain the alternative steps.
