Who verifies a polytechnic diploma from UP before the apostille? The issuing board verifies it. For a polytechnic diploma, that is BTEUP, Lucknow. After that, the diploma certificate apostille in Uttar Pradesh can follow the Delhi route of notary, SDM Delhi and MEA, or the state route through Lucknow. Nursing diplomas trace back to the state nursing body, and ITI papers to NCVT or SCVT.
BTEUP polytechnic diplomas
BTEUP conducts semester exams, publishes results and affiliates polytechnic institutes across the state. Your diploma in civil, mechanical, electrical, computer science or another branch carries the board's name, even when a private polytechnic taught the course.
Because the board, and not the college, issues the diploma, any verification question goes to the board. Keep your final diploma and all semester mark sheets together. Each sheet is a separate document for apostille purposes.
Lateral-entry students who joined in the second year still receive a BTEUP diploma. The process for them is the same. If your polytechnic has closed or merged since you passed, the board still holds your record, so the diploma remains verifiable.

Nursing and ITI papers follow their own issuers
ANM and GNM nursing
Uttar Pradesh State Medical Faculty conducts ANM and GNM examinations in the state. Nurses going abroad usually also hold a state registration certificate. That registration is a separate paper, and many overseas regulators want both.
ITI trade certificates
An NCVT certificate is a national certificate. An SCVT certificate is issued at state level. Check which one you hold, because the receiving country may ask about it.
Paramedical diplomas, such as lab technician or pharmacy courses, come from their own councils or boards. Bring the certificate to us and we will identify the issuer before choosing a route.
Routes for a diploma certificate apostille in Uttar Pradesh
Through Delhi: notary, then SDM Delhi, then the MEA Apostille. This works for most diplomas.

Every paper is priced on its own. A typical polytechnic file has one diploma and six semester mark sheets. If the employer abroad wants all of them, that is seven apostilles. Many employers only want the final diploma and the last mark sheet, so ask before you send everything.

Some bodies accept it, many do not. The final diploma is safer. Ask the receiving office before you send a provisional one. BTEUP issues the final diploma after results for all semesters are declared, so collect it from your polytechnic once it is ready and check the name and branch printed on it.
