PSBTE&IT, the board behind Punjab diplomas
PSBTE&IT works under Punjab's Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training. It was set up under a 1992 Act and runs exams for polytechnics and ITIs across the state.
Well-known polytechnics such as Mehr Chand Polytechnic College in Jalandhar award diplomas through this board. So the board's name and signature appear on your diploma, not the polytechnic's alone.
The department's citizen charter says a diploma or transcript is issued within two months of the result. It also lists a service for verification of qualification on application. If you have not collected your final diploma, do that first.
The citizen charter also says ITI certificates are issued within one month of the result.

Steps for a diploma certificate apostille in Punjab
- Send the original. Courier the PSBTE&IT diploma and any mark sheets to our Delhi office.

When Punjab's own verification is needed

ITI certificates for work abroad
Many young people from Punjab go to the Gulf, Europe or Canada with an ITI trade. Your certificate is either NCVT or SCVT. PSBTE&IT declares SCVT results, while NCVT results depend on the central evaluation.

If your employer abroad also wants an experience letter, that paper follows a different path, usually through a notary, the SDM and the MEA, or embassy attestation for non-member countries.
GNM and ANM papers from Punjab
Nurse registration in Punjab is handled by the Punjab Nurses Registration Council, set up under the Nurses Registration Act, 1932. Nurses heading abroad often need the GNM or ANM diploma, the registration certificate and a good-standing letter.
Each paper is apostilled separately. The council's own verification for an overseas regulator is a different service. Ask your recruiter whether you need one or both.

Mistakes that delay Punjab diploma files
The most common problem is a diploma that was laminated years ago to keep it safe. The apostille is fixed on the back, so lamination blocks it. A duplicate from PSBTE&IT is the only fix.
The second problem is a name that differs from the passport. A missing middle name or a different spelling of Kaur or Singh is enough to cause questions abroad. We prepare a short affidavit to link the two.
The third is sending a result printout instead of the final diploma. The MEA does not apostille printouts or photocopies. Check what you hold before you post it, or send us a photo first.
Destination check
The UK, USA, Canada, Australia and most of Europe accept the apostille. China and Germany do not accept India's apostille. Germany verifies Indian documents through its embassy instead.
