Can I apostille a polytechnic diploma from Lunglei or Aizawl? Yes. Mizoram's two state polytechnics
Mizoram has two state polytechnics under the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education. Mizoram Polytechnic is in Lunglei, and Women's Polytechnic is in Aizawl. Both offer engineering and technology diplomas. If your certificate comes from a central institute such as NIELIT Aizawl, it is verified against that institute rather than the state council.
The Mizoram State Council for Technical Education was first set up in 1988. A 2004 Gazette notification from the Education Department reconstituted it and set out its members and functions.
The verifying officer checks the signature of whichever authority signed your final diploma, so read it closely before you send it. If you studied in another state on a reserved seat, that state's board issued the diploma and its process applies.

Routes for a diploma certificate apostille in Mizoram
Aizawl route. The MEA list names the Under Secretary, Higher and Technical Education Department, for education documents. This is the same department that oversees the polytechnics. Use it when a foreign employer asks for state verification.
Delhi route. Here the original is first attested by a notary, then checked by the SDM in Delhi. Educational documents from every state can take this path.
After either route, the file goes to the MEA through an authorised outsourced centre. The MEA checks only the verifying officer's signature, not your marks.
GNM and ANM nurses
Many nurses from Mizoram work in other countries. Their GNM or ANM diploma is linked to registration with the state nursing council. Hospitals and licensing bodies abroad often ask for both the diploma and the registration certificate.
Each of those is a separate document with its own apostille. Nurses heading to the UK, Ireland or Australia should check the regulator's document list early, because these bodies often publish exact requirements for overseas applicants.
Some countries also want a verification letter from the council. Ask your recruiter for the full list before you send anything, so the whole set goes in one courier.
ITI certificates
ITI trade certificates are issued under NCVT or SCVT. An NCVT certificate is part of the national system. An SCVT certificate comes from the state. Verification follows whichever body issued yours.
Some ITI holders later complete a polytechnic diploma through lateral entry. If you hold both, the receiving office may ask for either or both, and each gets its own apostille.
Electricians, welders and fitters often need these certificates for jobs in the Gulf. Check the country first, because some Gulf states do not accept the apostille. Saudi Arabia, Oman and Bahrain do, while the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait need a different process.

- It is not laminated, because the stamp goes on the back.
- Your name matches your passport, or you have an affidavit ready.
- You have decided how many mark sheets need an apostille.
- You have checked that the destination accepts an apostille.
Keep a scanned copy of every page before you post anything. If a courier is delayed, the scan lets us check the papers and plan the route in the meantime.
If you hold only a provisional certificate, ask the employer if they will accept it. If a line on the diploma is not in English, we arrange certified translation.
